Mock The Draft Hinkie Style

Now, on Draft night, there is quite a bit of excitement. There is competition in the room. An urge to “win” the draft. If the 76ers dangle the fact that they are open to consider trades on draft night, and then start picking off the best talent in round two, the phone will start ringing.

  • And if the team picks a player and no phones right?  That’s fine too. The team has draft and stash option, as well as two new “Two-way contracts” option for their affiliation with the D-League team, the Delaware 87ers.

But if you want to have some true fun, try to “Mock the Draft Hinkie Style”. And so, you will need to use the second round draft board, an on-line simulator, or the latest Draft board of your choice. For the next step, just focus on just the second round. In fact, you will only be mocking that round in the draft.

For each Philadelphia 76ers player chosen, try to match that player with a needy NBA Team from the previous slide. And as your turn goes, if that team needs that position, you can either :

    I.    Claim two of that team’s second round picks in 2018.
II.   Claim two second round picks of that team later in the second round.
III.  Draft and stash that player overseas
IV.  Draft player for two-way contract.
    V.   Draft player to develop as a Philadelphia 76er in the 2017-2018 season.

    Now, how Hinkie are you?
