The Month Ellis experiment hasn’t worked out as expected, he’s declined in production every season. Donovan Mitchell would provide the Indiana Pacers with a reliable jump shot as well as elite athleticism. Monta Ellis will need to be replaced very soon, I think Mitchell is the right guy to plug in at shooting guard.

Given his 6-3 size Nate McMillan may decide to use Mitchell as the backup point guard, he’s very similar to Malik Monk in that aspect. The Pacers obviously need more creativity and scoring, if Mitchell pans out Paul George may decide to stick around. C.J. Miles and Mitchell could form a deadly scoring combo rotation at the two-guard position.

Mitchell has been a big riser so far this season, will he rise any further or has his stock peaked?
