Josh Jackson posses arguably the best athletic ability in this whole draft class. The small forward has also shown potential of becoming a point forward with his advanced play making skill set. I’m pretty sure that Magic Johnson and the Lakers would’ve wanted Lonzo Ball but they should definitely be happy with Josh Jackson as a consolation.

To start the season Jackson’s 3-point shot was atrocious, but as the season moved on his shot continued to improve greatly. If his 3-point shot can translate and improve slightly he will be a nice complimentary player to D’Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram. Jackson would give the Lakers an elite premier defender that they have needed for a while.

Josh Jackson had an up-and-down year at Kansas, his play was impressive for the most part but his season was dampened by the multiple off the court issues. Firstly he was charged with one count of misdemeanor criminal damage after kicking the door of a property and the taillight of a car that belonged to a Kansas women’s basketball player.

Jackson was suspended for Kansas’ Big 12 tournament opener after accumulating three traffic violations. In addition Jackson threatened to “beat” a women in December. Hopefully these aren’t signs of things to come.
