Vision of His Future

Bacon’s vision will never be a strength. He can find the one or two open players in transition but he ignores wing players on the drives.  That leaves him with limited options, oftentimes unwisely forcing it to the big’s.

A player of Bacons size, general athleticism, and shooting ability will always draw NBA interest. Compared to other collegiate players, he seems to be above average in many aspects of his game.

    Bacon Needs Time

Unfortunately, he does not possess an NBA level skill and projects to be a project. If Bacon can improve his jump shot, he may find himself on the end of a bench but it is unlikely that he will ever carve out a role in the NBA.

The problem facing the Philadelphia 76ers is the timing. The Sixers need polished contributors from the 2017 NBA Draft. Unfortunately, that is not where Dwayne Bacon is right now.

It is that lack of ball movement and defensive skills which tags Dwayne Bacon as too raw for the needs of the Philadelphia 76ers. That is why the Philadelphia 76ers need to pass on Dwayne Bacon.
