So Is It All Bad?
No its not all bad. Jackson does show up very favorable when it comes to Assist% Let’s look at Ast% and Turnover %
Player |
Assist% |
TOV% |
Josh Jackson | 18% | 16% |
Stanley Johnson | 12% | 15% |
Justice Winslow | 13% | 14% |
Andrew Wiggins | 9% | 13% |
Wiggins was roundly applauded at Kansas for his unselfish play and court vision but his assist numbers do not really support that he was a facilitator. Josh Jackson is the best of this grouping when it comes to creating shots for teammates. This is a good thing and you can never have too many playmakers, but on the Philadelphia 76ers, ultimately someone needs to shoot the damn ball.
Overall Offensive Rating
This is probably my least favorite stat available but I do feel the need to use it as a compilation stat. This shows how his team fared overall offensively per 100 possessions with the player on the floor.

Josh Jackson | 110.7 |
Stanley Johnson | 111 |
Justice Winslow | 115 |
Andrew Wiggins | 116 |
Again you can see that the Stanley Johnson comparison is the closest comp. Was Kansas just a much better team in 2014 when Wiggins was there? Perhaps, so take this stat with appropriate warning. But unfortunately, this is another stat that tends to drop quite a bit early in an NBA career.
