Top NBA Talent Hides In Round Two

The NBA hides prestigious players everywhere: in round one, round two and even undrafted. The trick to to match the right player on the right team with the right coach in the right situation. Now, there is no magic mirror nor waveable wand.  The measure of an NBA’s prospects true potential is that of their heart – their desire to play.  Some players take the second round selection lying down. Others rise up inside, blazing with a fueled desire to prove the NBA wrong.

And sometimes they do just that.

Diamonds In The Rough

But sometimes a rare talent delivers something more. The 35th pick of the 2012 NBA Draft, Draymond Green can name each NBA player selected before him. His arrival on the Golden State Warriors put them over the top and into NBA Championship play.

Others, like Lou Williams, Marcin Gortat, Goran Dragic, DeAndre Jordan, and others have all taken the less traveled path to NBA greatness. Even the Philadelphia 76ers have introduced both Jerami Grants (now with Oklahoma City Thunder) and Richaun Holmes to the NBA from round two.
