Los Angeles Lakers

The first team prediction was calling for the Los Angeles Lakers to finish 30th in the NBA. I wasn’t far off, as I had no confidence in the Lakers front office decisions in free agency.  Ultimately, I wasn’t far off the mark.

PREDICTED FINISH: 30th   21-61
ACTUAL FINISH       : 28th   26-56

What I got right: I actually came pretty close to this team’s outcome.  I saw Ingram struggling for starts in his first season. I also pointed to the offense of this team as the best statistic.

What I got wrong: I never expected the Los Angeles Lakers to start the season with a 10-10 start. Remove that brief period of respectability and I am spot on.  40 percent of the Lakers wins occurred in the first 20 games.

ORIGINAL PREDICTION

30. team. 20.  The Los Angeles Lakers were set to make a huge splash in free agency, and ended up with the second pick of the 2016 NBA Draft.  While Brandon Ingram will certainly help in the long run of this team, he won’t carry them this season. <p>The Lakers did sign forward Luol Deng from the Miami Heat as well as reserve center Timofey Mozgov <a href=.
