Philadelphia 76ers

PREDICTED FINISH: 25th   32-50
ACTUAL FINISH       : 27th   28-54

What I got right: I thankfully got plenty right with the Philadelphia 76ers.  For starters, I dingled out shooting accuracy.  The 76ers ended 27th in the league, their very spot in the standings. I pointed to the arrival of Dario Saric and joel Embiid as keys to this season.  Few were predicting the 76ers to do much better than 20 wins, but I went out on a limb and nearly nailed the win total.  In fact, there was a point in the season where my prediction felt too conservative.

I also correctly predicted the sense of a winner under construction for the city of Philadelphia.

What I got wrong:  I never saw the injury bug repeating it’s brutal assault upon this roster. But this team lost Jerryd Bayless and Ben Simmons for the season and Joel Embiid after 31 games. And they still managed 28 wins?  Wow.
