The Philadelphia 76ers General Manager Bryan Colangelo has received criticism for his job performance at times, but he can prove his worth during the draft

The Philadelphia 76ers are picking third in the draft, but Bryan Colangelo could be trying to move around the draft board because of the team’s flexibility.

There have been numerous reports in the past few weeks since the NBA Draft Lottery ended that have the Sixers perhaps trading down in the upcoming draft.

Trading Down

Perhaps the Sixers would prefer to add Malik Monk or Dennis Smith Jr. during the draft.

If that is the case the Sixers would be smart to call the Sacramento Kings and move down to the fifth pick in the draft while adding the tenth pick.

The Kings may be interested in De’Aaron Fox, but don’t want to take the risk of hoping he is there at five.

While if you are the Sixers you would have a great chance of landing either Monk and Smith.

Both players would be a better fit in Philadelphia to play alongside Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Plus, at the same time the Sixers are adding a lottery pick.

This would give Colangelo another asset he could use to trade for an established star or move back up in the draft to take another player.

Stay put for Josh Jackson

Despite having bigger concerns on the roster the Sixers should stay at three if Jackson is still there.

The reason I’m not sure he will be there is because of a report saying that Jackson received a “draft promise” and the Lakers have already had him in for a workout, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports on 98.7.

Assuming Markelle Fultz is the first pick in the draft, Lonzo Ball would be on the board at three or the Sixers to take.

Since the Sixers have made it clear Simmons will have the ball in his hands most of the time, Ball may not be the best fit.

Colangelo would have to make the decision and since he is a “basketball guy” in the minds of some, he should have no problem making the right moves.
