Despite the fears of overpaying, the Philadelphia 76ers get their guy Markelle Fultz for what appears to be a reasonable cost

Bryan Colangelo, well done sir.  You can do a draft, that’s for sure.  And the Philadelphia 76ers and practically everyone on the planet earth knew Markelle Fultz is the best fit for the team.  But the Boston Celtics had the top pick, and the Philadelphia 76ers were the only team capable of spending a King’s ransom for that pick, right? Is one player worth that? Yes, yes he is.

Speculation ran wild. On one hand, some claimed three firsts. On the other hand, some claimed three firsts and players.  In summary, it was far less expensive than all that.

So a three pick, and either the 2018 Lakers pick or the 2019 Kings pick.  Well played Bryan Colangelo, well played.
