Fultz Fits

That talent is a rarity. Even more rare, his skillset is the perfect blend to compliment what the Philadelphia 76ers have, and what the team is building.   And the cost to go up is either a Lakers pick at two through five, or the Kings pick in 2019.

More from Draft

We’ll talk about what a bargain this could turn out to be soon. But for now, the trio is assembled. Barring injury, the Philadelphia 76ers have the equivalent of a top pick from 2014, 2016 and now 2017.  Three players who, by a majority of scouts in the NBA, display the talent level to change a franchise.

Now, it’s up to Coach Brett Brown to coach em up.

Plan All Along

Recall the construction of the new training facility. Recall the investment into Basketball Analytics, Recall hiring Dr. David T. Martin to head sports science.  It was a comprehensive strategy to position the Philadelphia 76ers organization as the premier professional sports team.

The team has built the roster now.

But this is no endpoint.  This is not the last stop on the Championship Cruise. It’s the beginning of the steep climb to greatness. The Philadelphia 76ers still have a treasure chest filled with future draft picks. The team has plenty of cap space on the books now. The team loaded up on front court talent, and now smugly fill the roster with back court talent. Patience proved to be the right path. The Philadelphia 76ers timed their assets and needs beautifully.

Failure happens to everyone and all NBA Teams. It’s only the team that embraces the fall of failure which places safety nets and zip lines. In the end, the Philadelphia 76ers not only landed the ideal fit for this team roster. The 76ers did it at such a value that they can continue to load up for years to come. June 18, 2017 is Father’s Day. The Philadelphia 76ers have given fans around the globe a Father’s Day to remember.
