The NBA draft is less than 48 hours away and teams are preparing for what could be one of the deepest lotteries since 1998. Today, we look at what could happen  for teams like the Philadelphia 76ers in the lottery.

The NBA draft is one of my favorite times of the year. From Knicks fans booing every pick they make to Jay Bilas mentioning wingspan, the NBA draft has been one of the greatest things to ever exist. Many say that the draft has been ruined by Woj Bombs and Agents who tell their clients things like “hey, look happy when you get drafted and don’t dress like you are about to rob a bank in the 1920’s”. I disagree with them. I think technology has made the draft better.

More from The Sixer Sense

From Grantland covering the Kings draft to Jay Bilas acknowledging that he says wingspan a lot, the draft has adapted to modern times. Today we are going to look at what could happen during this NBA Draft Lottery.

My biggest fear is the 76ers trading up and taking Josh Jackson. Although Fultz has done everything besides purchasing a house on Broad Street, I still have that fear of Colangelo selecting Jackson. However, that doesn’t seem likely as this picture still exists.

Fultz is the likely pick. He’s the best guard to come out since John Wall. He will be beloved in Philadelphia. And Colangelo should be praised for this trade.

With the D’Angelo Russell trade, Lonzo will be the pick for Magic Johnson and crew as they try to recreate a store brand version of ShowTime with Ingram, Paul George and Brook Lopez. Speaking of Lopez, I love the trade for the Lakers. They traded a guy with terrible attitude problems and Mozgov for a great offensive big who Lonzo will turn into an all-star caliber player. Lopez has been the NBA’s best kept secret playing for the dumpster fire Nets and will shine in LA. Plus if they don’t like him, they can let him walk in free agency.

But hold on I hear a noise, is that Danny Ainge Music?

In an effort to beg Carmelo to waive his no-trade clause, the Knicks have traded Kristaps Porzingis to the Boston Celtics in exchange for the 3rd pick, Marcus Smart, and the Brooklyn Nets 2018 First round pick. This trade still gives the Celtics cap space to sign Gordon Hayward and upgrades the Power Forward position significantly. It sounds like an overpay for the Celtics, but Bill Simmons uses the time to talk about how underrated Terry Rozier is secretly better than Smart because some weird stat like high fives per 36 or percent of free throws made in the last 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter tells him he is.

Meanwhile, in New York, Knicks fans are furious. Their Latvian Unicorn is now wearing Celtics green and the Knicks have nothing to show for it, but 2 guys who can’t shoot and a Nets pick. Josh Jackson is getting booed so hard by old Knicks fans, that he considers kicking Adam Silver’s car. Just before he does, James Dolan gives Josh Jackson a copy of his band’s newest CD and tells the Knick fans who boo the pick to become Nets fans and that they will never be a great Musician and inheritor of Sports franchises like him.

But wait, is that Vlade Divac Music?
