Will Karma Steer Kristaps Porzingis to Philadelphia 76ers?

The Philadelphia 76ers are living a charmed life right now. Despite the Boston Celtics landing the top overall pick, the fit for Markelle Fultz did not warrant the Celtics using the top pick of the 2017 NBA Draft. And so, Karma stepped in and the right to select Markelle Fultz now belongs to the Philadelphia 76ers.  In the 2015 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers selected Duke center Jahlil Okafor, while some pleaded for the team to select power forward Kristaps Porzingis.

Rumors broke recently that the New York Knicks are seeking trade offers for the young power forward – and now that asking price has zeroed in on a top five draft pick and a proven player.

No Takers, Phil

But that price will not likely be met by draft night.  And with Phil Jackson discussing wanting to deal Porzingis openly, he’s painted himself into a corner. He has to do a deal now, doesn’t he?

So that leaves few teams who can fix this for Phil Jackson. One such team is the Philadelphia 76ers.
