11. player. 170. . SG. Duke. Luke Kennard

The rise of Luke Kennard has been incredible to watch, it has got to the point where scouts believe the Duke shooting guard won’t make it out of the top 10. The New York Knicks are rumored to be looking at Kennard with their eighth overall pick. As surprising as that may sound, teams will do anything to get a reliable three point shooter; Kennard many just be the best shooter in this draft.

The Charlotte Hornets are in desperate need of some perimeter shooting. Only three guards shot over 35 percent from three last season; Kemba Walker, Marco Belinelli and Brian Roberts. Kennard will give the Hornets exactly what they are lacking.

In addition, Kennard isn’t just a spot up three point shooter, he is very comfortable in creating his own shot, he can also finish very well at the rim. These two skills go unnoticed at times. This pick has the chance to become very valuable for the Hornets if it works out.
