By adding a versatile center who can stretch the floor, the Lakers complete their search for the ideal big man. The Latvian, Anzejs Pasecniks can shoot from behind the three point line (58.3 percent this season), rebound and protect the paint. The potential is brimming out of the 7-2 center.

Additionally, the Lakers will be in no rush in bringing Pasecniks over, he will probably stay overseas for at least another season, maybe two. When he comes over, the Lakers may be in a position to push for the playoffs, I can see Pasecniks having a Nikola Jokic-type impact when he joins up with the team.

In pre-draft workouts, Pasecniks has shown a good ability to handle the ball when driving from the three point line to the basket. He has also showed an array of dribbling moves as well as hesitation moves to glide past the defender and finish hard at the rim.
