Most likely to go Mike Miller in game 5 of the 2012 NBA Finals — Jerryd Bayless

This award is given to whoever is most likely to be hurt for an entire season and then come back for the finals and kill it in an extremely important game. That player is Jerryd Bayless. Bayless is an underrated combo guard who did not get much playing time last year due to injuries. Bayless’s versatility will allow him to sneak onto the floor like Miller and rain 3’s. Bayless is a very underrated guard and can get hot very fast. Bayless is the perfect Sixer to go “Mike Miller” for us.

Best Moment — TJ McConnell for his game winner against the Knicks

TJ “Toy Jesus” McConnell’s game winner against the Knicks might have been one of my best moments of 2017 no joke. It was such a great moment. It had everything I could have ever wanted, the Knicks choking, Toy Jesus being clutch, and Embiid going nuts. I loved that moment and I watch it over at least twice a week. Here’s a video of it

Most likely for you to go ‘oh, that guy’ — Shawn Long

I shouldn’t be talking bad about Shawn Long. I mean, he got us a 2nd rounder, something that Jahlil can’t even get us.

Worse case of Senioritis — Tiago Splitter

Acquired at the deadline, Splitter was counting down the days until the season ended when he landed in Philadelphia. I imagine he relaxed the 2nd half of the season. Tiago you earned it. Not many people can deal with Pop and Budenholzer, so I hoped you enjoyed eating Eggo Waffles and watching the Sixers lose by 20 to the Bucks in March.

Dad Award — Gerald Henderson

Henderson was the veteran influence we expected Bayless to be if he was on the court. He showed the young guys how to win and be professionals. At the time of the signing, I hated it. Now, I greatly appreciate the influence Henderson had on the team. Thank you, Gerald Henderson, for all you’ve done.

Most likely to have their draft night video featured in this article — Nik Stauskas

You know what time it is. Nik Rocks time. Vivek, take it away.

The Eugene From Hey Arnold Award — Ben Simmons

Eugene from Hey Arnold was a kid who got hurt in literally every episode and never got to do shenanigans with Arnold, Gerald (no, not Gerald Henderson) and the rest of the gang. Here’s a clip.

Couldn’t you imagine Joel Embiid getting a bunch of chickens to attack Ben Simmons? I can so imagine Ben Simmons getting hurt in a wide variety of scenarios. Thankfully, the 76ers training staff is keeping him away from these type of situations. Still, Ben Simmons is our Eugene from Hey Arnold because, like Eugene, he was resting from the injuries he suffered while his team was doing great things.
