With the Las Vegas Summer League heating up, many questions about the Philadelphia 76ers‘ offseason, as well as their future, still remain.

This is, in many ways, the awkward grey area that every offseason presents. The draft is well behind us, while free agency is all but over. The Philadelphia 76ers, aside from potentially looking to extend Robert Covington, aren’t expected to make anymore groundbreaking moves. When you consider the fact that Markelle Fultz will no longer be playing in the team’s Summer League games, there’s not much to look forwards to in the coming weeks.

There’s still a 2017-18 campaign to prepare for, though — and it’s a campaign that could bring many changes to the current perception surrounding this Sixers team. Fultz and Ben Simmons will make their debuts in unison, while Joel Embiid will once again be at full health. They’ll also be adding one of the league’s best pure shooters in J.J. Redick, rounding out a stud-laden young core with some much-needed floor spacing.

There’s the potential for playoff basketball to prepare for, as well as recognition that this Sixers team hasn’t garnered in years. Brett Brown finally has adequate talent to work with, and barring further injury, we should see the team take major steps in the right direction.

That’s what this mailbag is for. To sift through the questions Sixers fans have about this team, from their strategic wrinkles to their outlook moving forward. Even as the offseason dies down, there’s still plenty to talk about. So, without dragging out this introduction any further, let’s dive into questions sourced directly from Sixers Twitter.
