In a slight departure from the mid-August content grind, let’s take a moment to appreciate the best part about following the Philadelphia 76ers — their social media presence.

The Philadelphia 76ers are a fun team. With Joel Embiid injecting life into a team that was peddling in mediocrity during the years prior, we’re now waiting on what feels like an inevitable rise in the standings next season. The talent has increased, and the hype surrounding the team has followed suit.

With that said, NBA basketball isn’t all about the on-court product. Part of it’s about fandom, and that means connecting on a much broader scale with a community of people who enjoy the team. The best way to do that is through social media, and few — if any teams — are as entertaining in that realm of the basketball world.

From those covering the team to those on the team, there’s always something fun happening in the Sixers’ corner of the web. We’ve already given you some of the best follows on Sixers Twitter, and now we’ll expand on that even further.

A simple appreciation of just how enjoyable it is to follow this team.

It starts with the simplest of nuances. Does you team have it’s own song?

Or perhaps the fact that they have the wittiest team account in the sport.

Or the irrefutable brilliance that manifests in a 7-foot-2 behemoth named Joel Embiid.

He won the NBPA’s Best Social Media Follow for a reason.

It continues to Twitter as well.

Embiid isn’t the only one, though. Dario Saric recently made a visit to a deer farm. Name a more likable human being — I dare you.

The truest of friendships.

Ben Simmons is also a great human being.

The rest of the team’s social media presence is pretty great as well.

This a brief, and fairly recent, sample of just how enjoyable Sixers Twitter — and the remainder of social media — can truly be. This may not be hard-hitting analysis, but it’s important to appreciate the full range of the NBA experience.

It’s difficult not to get a smile on your face when scrolling through what this Sixers team puts out on a near-daily basis. The game of basketball and the platform they’re given goes beyond X’s and O’s, and the team in general has made it incredibly entertaining to follow Philadelphia basketball.

Are their better teams on the floor? Yes. Are there better teams off the floor? Probably not.
