    The Philadelphia 76ers triad

Joel Embiid certainly has the potential for an elite career. In just 31 games, his impact on both the offense and defense of the Philadelphia 76ers is significant.  Playing near the basket, he is both an irresistible scoring force, but simultaneously an immovable defensive object. His very presence forces opposing offenses to redirect their offense.  While the sample of his play is not enough to declare this a sure thing, the trend is certainly in the right direction.
