Simmons the enigma

Ben Simmons has been an enigma to many who try to pigeon hole his talents into a convenient, but simplistic, standard category.  He’s part point guard, part power forward. The result is a player who can be very good at virtually every position on the court, but not elite at any one position.

Some try to translate those limits into what-if-scenarios where Simmons is lessened by the better man at one one basketball position.

What will likely happen is that no one basketball player will neutralizer the arsenal at Simmons disposal. Passing, shooting, rebounding, physicality, and ball handles are not often combined in one player.  Both players and coaches acknowledge a huge upside.   This season will demonstrate just how high it can be.
