Markelle Fultz keystones it all

Markelle Fultz is the missing link for the Philadelphia 76ers.  Perhaps that is why the team was willing to trade with the rival Boston Celtics for the right to draft him first overall in the 2017 NBA Draft.  That trade made him very happy.

He is more than just a versatile guard. Where both Embiid and Simmons stand tall, Fultz is that lightning fast shooter with quick hands who frustrates the opponent.  WIth Embiid’s mountain, and Simmon’s lightning, Fultz delivers the thunder. He has a stash of start stop pivot burst change-direction moves which gain him the open shot.  In the company of both Simmons and Embiid, imagine the quality of screens and pick and rolls that head coach Brett Brown can scheme.

Combine three into one super trio

The hand speed of Markelle Fultz makes him relevant in any defensive set. But with Embiid at the basket, and Simmon at the end of the key, Fultz simply bird dogs the ball-handler, forcing turnovers. And his ability to create shots during the Washington Husky days will serve him very well in the NBA.

Next: Joel Embiid’s confidence is something special

This is not to say that the Philadelphia 76ers are simply plug and play in championship games. But if we can see the elite potential of the trio, you can bet the Philadelphia 76ers coaching staff is dreaming of getting them onto the court together.  And with just 31 games of NBA play, this is a group of incredibly talented players who will develop NBA playing skills together.
