Philadelphia 76ers injuries surface as preseason gets underway

Scratch card
Three other players will not participate in the preseason game against the Memphis Grizzlies. They are: Dario Saric, Amir Johnson, and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot.
Dario Saric – rest – Forward Dario Saric had a very strenuous summer of basketball. As such, he arrives to Philadelphia in good shape, but exhausted.
Since the team is comfortable in his role and skillset, they can afford to give him some well needed rest.
Amir Johnson – ankle – Forward Amir Johnson suffered a sprained right ankle in practice and will be re-evaluated on Wednesday, October 4. He will likely be a game time decision one whether he plays or not.
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot – knee – Guard Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot is suffering from tendinitis in his right knee. Much like Joel Embiid, he participated in half-court five on fives, but not full court five on fives. He is currently expected to be a scratch on both the Memphis and Boston games.

With the exception of Amir Johnson, all scratches are returning from a season ago, and all are relatively certain of their role this season on the team. That allows the team to dole out more playing minutes to relatively unknowns. In the long run, that is good for the team.
So far so good. Injuries are light and manageable. Now isn’t this the kind of injury report that is worthwhile to read?
