20. Patrick Beverley, Los Angeles Clippers

Beverley was one of several beneficiaries in the Houston Rockets’ offense last season, spotting up for countless threes as James Harden‘s sidekick in the backcourt. While he played as more of a two-guard last season, a change of scenery in Los Angeles could give Beverley his biggest role to date.

A 38.2 percent shooter from deep and constant pest on the defensive end, Beverley’s presence should find a nice home in this Clippers rotation. He’ll be complimented by an elite defensive big in DeAndre Jordan, while his shooting can still be maximized by players like Blake Griffin, Milos Teodosic and Austin Rivers — all of whom he’ll be sharing the court with at times.

The Clippers lost a star this offseason, but they replaced him with an impressive bit of depth in the backcourt. Beverley will be one of the offense’s bigger focal points aside from Griffin, and that’s an exicting progression for somebody who has been more of a niche-based player for most of his career.
