13. Jeff Teague, Minnesota Timberwolves
Teague is coming off a quiet-yet-productive season in Indiana, putting up 15.3 points and 7.8 assists per game in his lone season alongside Paul George. Now joining up with Minnesota’s new power trio, Teague could prove to be a surprisingly valuable addition once the season gets underway.
He’s no longer the Jeff Teague that got him an All-Star spot during Atlanta’s historic 2014-15 season, but many of those same attributes are still present. He’s a smart, heady playmaker who makes smart decisions en route to the basket and shows off some craft when finishing at the rim.
Aside from being one of the league’s more underrated distributors, Teague is also a capable spot-up shooter — something that could be useful when working off of players like Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins, and Karl-Anthony Tonws. He’ll be the fourth fiddle on a deep roster, but Teague should be a solid contributor all season long.
