11. Goran Dragic, Miami Heat
Dragic, accompanied by a draft-bound Luka Doncic, led the Slovenian National Team to an unexpected EuroBasket win this summer, potentially capping off a long and successful international career for the Miami point guard. He now returns to the States as one of the East’s more reliable presences on the perimeter, giving Miami both a leading scorer and an elite playmaker.
What Dragic lacks in raw athleticism, he makes up for with basketball I.Q. He knows how to find his spots on the floor, working his way into open pockets from mid-range while boasting excellent court vision in pick-and-roll scenarios. He put up 20.3 points per game last season, and did so while averaging 40.5 percent from deep — his highest clip since the 2013-14 season in Phoenix.
As someone who combines subtle flash with excellent instincts on the offensive end, you can’t help but appreciate Dragic’s work. His defense is an uninspiring afterthought at times, but that’s not enough to dock him further than No. 11.
