Three step solution

Well, sitting Fultz is step one. Eliminating his shoulder pain is step two. Getting his shot back, and even improving upon it, is step three.  How long could this take?  Well, conservatively, you want to allow plenty of time.  Say, 2018?

In the meantime, Joel Embiid is already re-inflating Markelle Fultz’s ego.

And this is the team envisioned by Sam Hinkie and the “Process Trusters” all along. A team, forged by adversity, bonded by resolve, and ignited by the optimism of a coach who saw winners where the rest of the NBA saw losers.  That team is not racing against time. It is destiny racing to this team. And therefore, the team can be patient.

This is not a sprint. It’s the foundation of the future. Measure twice cut once. As head coach Brett Brown suggested, Markelle Fultz can take a deep breath. On this issue, I think it’s time we all do.
