20. Gary Trent Jr., PG, Duke
Gary Trent Jr. is another five-star incoming freshman for the Duke Blue Devils. The plethora of talent on the roster will mean there won’t be a standout star. Similarly to the 2014-15 Kentucky Wildcats, every player will have to make the most of there playing time as they may not get as much as they’d like.
Given that Grayson Allen is one of the leaders of the team and Trevon Duval will be running the point, Trent may have to settle for a sixth-man role on the team. The Ohio native may not be too happy with that given his talent and pedigree but he will have to put his ego aside and make it work for the good of the team.
Trent’s ability will be perfectly suited for a sixth-man role as he can spark from life into the game when the starters come out. Moreover, Trent could dominate if he goes up against second units, he’ll be far more talented than a lot of the players that he could match-up against. I’m sure Trent will be given the green light in this situation.
