NBA Rumors: Does Cleveland Cavaliers PG Derrick Rose hiatus from NBA open a door for a timely trade with Philadelphia 76ers?
Right now the Cleveland Cavaliers have more issues to resolve than the Philadelphia 76ers. They have Derrick Rose to thank for that. You see, despite an 11-7 record, this is not the Cleveland Cavaliers of yesteryear. In fact, this is not a Cleveland Cavalier team of memory since LeBron James returned to the roster. While the team has plenty of questions, the most recent dilemma involves the nebulous future of point guard Derrick Rose.
Story with @mcten filed to ESPN: Cavaliers guard Derrick Rose is away from team and evaluating his future in basketball, league sources tell ESPN. Story soon on site.

A young man with a stellar future in the NBA fell to multiple injuries. Now, battered and bruised, he fights the battle of whether or not basketball is his future, and whether he is in basketball’s future. This is a sad day for Derrick Rose fans, and for NBA fans as well:
As one Cavaliers source tells ESPN about Rose: "He's tired of being hurt and it's taking a toll on him mentally."

That boils down to the Cleveland Cavaliers in need of point guard help until Isaiah Thomas returns from his hip injury. And that means opportunity for the Philadelphia 76ers.
