The Sixers need shooting and Allen brings that in droves. The Duke senior is primed for his best year yet, and is one of the early leaders for National Player of the Year — something that will keep him firmly in the draft conversation all season.

Lots has been made of Allen’s attitude in recent years, but he seems to have figured things out this season. He’s Duke’s undisputed leader, and it shows with how vocal he is — both on the court and on the bench.

Aside from shooting, Allen also has some playmaking ability with nice instincts in the pick-and-roll and some underrated athleticism. He has always been a borderline-first round pick, and last year’s struggles were just blown out of proportion behind Luke Kennard’s breakout.
