9. Jaren Jackson Jr., PF/C, Michigan State
Michigan State freshman, Jaren Jackson Jr., has had a fairly solid start to his collegiate career. Due to Michigan State having a strong team, with ambitions of winning the National Championship, Jackson will not be putting up jaw-dropping numbers like Marvin Bagley III. This will make it hard to make the jump into the top-five conversation.
To start the year, against North Florida and Duke, Jackson was dominant, he should an all-around performance. Against North Florida, Jackson grabbed 13 rebounds, as well as two steals and four blocks. Next up, against Duke, Jackson dropped 19 points on them and hit three of his five three-pointers. However, against Stony Brook, Jackson failed to score a point in 14 minutes of action.
A journey ending in winning a National Championship, with Jackson playing at a good level, could be what Jackson needs to boost his draft stock. Moreover, the three-point aspect of Jackson’s game could become a very valuable asset.
