What an outcome this would be for the San Antonio Spurs. Bruce Brown showed great promise as a freshman but he hasn’t been able to take his game to that next level like we all had expected. It wouldn’t shock me to see Brown fall this far in the draft.
The Spurs already have their future point guard in place with Dejounte Murray. They also drafted another guard in last year’s draft, Derrick White. However, Brown could be a nice complimentary piece for the Spurs that could replace Jonathon Simmons, after he left for the Orlando Magic last summer.
This season for the Miami Hurricanes, Brown is averaging 10.6 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game and 4.8 assists per game. Also, Brown has improved his three-point percentage to 36 percent. Scouts will want to see Brown continually improve as the season progresses.
