It’s unclear whether or not high-schooler Anfernee Simons will actually enter the draft. He graduated from high school last year and will therefore be eligible for the upcoming 2018 NBA Draft.
The 6-3 point guard had originally committed to play for the Louisville Cardinals, but later retracted his commitment following the FBI scandal. Simons will now play this season at IMG Academy and will decide whether he wants to enter the NBA Draft or not at a later date.
If Simons does enter the draft, it will be tough to gauge how highly teams value him. We saw this with Thon Maker in 2016. Draft experts predicted Maker to get drafted in the early-to-mid second-round, but ended being selected 10th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks.
