12. Robert Williams, PF/C, Texas A&M

In a class loaded with talented bigs, Williams remains one of the best defensive prospects. His offense hasn’t taken a step forward like many had hoped, but his unique physical gifts should allow him to impact the game immediately at the next level.

At 6-foot-10, Williams’ 7-foot-4 wingspan and springy athleticism allows him to protect the rim at a level few collegiate bigs can match. He’s also mobile out to the perimeter, moving his feet well when switched onto smaller players.

Offensively, Williams is mainly an at-rim finisher. He showed some flashes of a mid-range jumper last season, but hasn’t done much to establish (much less extend) that range this season. Again, that’s one of those skills that will be heavily monitored in pre-draft workouts.
