30. Nick Richards, C, Kentucky
Despite starting, Richards’ role has been somewhat limited this season, as he’s only playing 16.9 minutes per game. Nonetheless, his combination of physical tools and defensive upside is enough to leave the frosh inside the top 30.
Richards’ frame is still filling out, but he’s 6-foot-11 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan and quick feet for his size. He moves well out to the perimeter, while his length and athleticism should allow him to protect the rim at the next level. He’s averaging 3.2 blocks per 40 minutes.
Offensively, Richards is still a work in progress. He hasn’t shown much out to the perimeter, but can finish above the rim and competes on the offensive glass.
