Arizona State – Tra Holder

The Arizona State Sun Devils are a surprising nationally ranked team so far this season. But if you’ve watched 6-foot-1 point guard Tra Holder, you begin to understand why.  Here is a young man who does it all for the Sun Devils. And yet, there are few NBA accolades heading his way so far.  But for how long? After all, he is an offensive dynamo.

Offense, with solid defense.

Rise to the challenge

Holder is very active on both offense and defense. But the first place NBA scouts check out is the offense.  And the first stop to assess a prospect’s offensive chops is to measure the player against superior competition. Competition like Xavier College, the team who fell victim to Tra Holder’s 40 point outburst.

While Holder shoots just 43.0 percent from the floor, he nearly equals that at 42.4 percent from three-point range. And his offense is always waiting on standby.  This year, the versatile young man is also stepping up on defense as well. Pulling down 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals a game, he has enough prowess to disrupt opponents rhythm and timing.  Place those instincts into the hands of Philadelphia 76ers’ coaches, and you’ve got the potential for something special.
