I’m cooling off on Sexton, but he should get some serious lottery credit by virture of being the second-best point guard in a class that’s thin at the position. The Suns need to find a long-term pont guard to pair with Devin Booker, and Sexton feels like the obvious choice.

Despite Alabama’s inconsistency, Sexton has been one of the SEC’s most impressive players. He’s averaging 19.3 points and 3.4 assists per game, using his strong frame and explosiveness to get to the rim and finish. He’s also shooting 36.8 percent from deep, where there were some question marks entering the season.

Phoenix lacks an indentity outside of Booker, especially on defense. Sexton’s gritty attitude and constant hustle could be the infusion of energy their rebuild so desperately needs.
