The potential damage LeBron James would do to the Philadelphia 76ers is not worth his basketball abilities. It is a risk they must not take.
Jackie Moon is a rich man’s LeBron James. He was a marketing genius, player, coach, and GM of a professional basketball team in the Midwest region of the United States.
Sure, LeBron may have a slight edge on Jackie as a player, but the Moon Man dominated Mr. James in every other facet. Jackie Moon was a revolutionary the NBA was unable to recognize, whereas LeBron is celebrated day-in and day-out for his achievements.
Has Lebron fought a bear? Has LeBron won the Flint Michigan MegaBowl? Did LBbron record “Love Me Sexy”? I’ll save you a Google search with a resounding NO. Furthermore, the closest thing LeBron has done to trading away a washing machine was casting off his pal Dwyane Wade (people forget he spells his name like that).
I draw these parallels due to a troubling Instagram story from LeBron James that featured him playing 2K with the Sixers. He heaps praise upon Ben Simmons for his triple double prowess in both virtual reality and reality-reality. LeBron to the Philadelphia 76ers confirmed?
Much has been written about their history of training together and how LeBron could potentially fit on this team. It’s no secret that they admire each other’s game, and James has served as a mentor to Simmons through his short NBA career.
So all of this seems to add up to a perfect fit, right? Who wouldn’t want to add the best player in the world to their talented, cheap, young, and promising roster?

The issues lies in respect, something LeBron appears to have none for with regard to T.J. McConnell. It’s common knowledge that James serves as a player, coach, and GM for the Cleveland Cavaliers, channeling his inner Jackie Moon. Yet, upon closer inspection, LeBron in control of the virtual Philadelphia 76ers resulted in the audacity to give McConnell a DNP (Did Not Play).
McConnell is fresh off of a triple-double in real life against the New York Knicks. An incredible feat in general, it’s more impressive considering he came off the bench. Yet, most importantly, the reaction illustrated the chemistry this young team has.

I don’t care that LeBron clearly plays with fatigue off. That’s a sociopath move in and of itself that I’ll address at a later point. The point is that this could prove dangerous for the Grit from Pitt, and we should strive to protect our national treasures.
