Blame or thank the Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia 76ers fans know the impact signing J.J. Redick had on this team. And the roster boosted a second time when the team signed Marco Belinelli. so there can be an expectation that a free agent signing of LeBron James to this team would certainly place the Philadelphia 76ers among the favorites for an NBA Championship. But the key to any player wanting to play for the Philadelphia 76ers rests in three basic pools of thought.

Can they pay me? (Yes) Can they win if I join them? (I believe yes) Will it be someplace I want to win at? (YES!) No sports figure in America (or the world for that matter) missed the pure passion of the Philadelphia Eagles fans. Her fans do not treat the athletes like celebrities. They are family, and fans share bona fide love for their players. Now that the Philadelphia Eagles have placed Philly on the sports map once more, sports figures in other professional sports want to be part of the moment as well.

Ben networking seizes the moment

The NBA All-Star break is the opportunity to network. The moment to place the Philadelphia 76ers hat in the ring for NBA stars in the upcoming 2018 free agency market. By launching the message at LeBron James, Simmons managed to place the Philadelphia 76ers on the map of all potential free agents simultaneously. After all, which potential NBA free agent truly considers himmself better than LeBron?

But it also continues to place the bug in the ear of LeBron. He has played for the Cavaliers, then the Heat, back to the Cavaliers.  Does he have enough in him to win an NBA Championship with one more team?  Ben Simmons has asked the question, tossed down the gauntlet, and set the wheels in motion one more time. Of course, it may never happen. But it’s hard to predict the future from the past.  But should it happen, everyone will point back to this moment and realize it started here.
