2-Eddies Sports Bar and Grill

Some establishments are simply worth going to for the great conversation and comraderie. Eddie’s Sports Bar and Grill is that very place.  Always a surprise, the facility is simply not that much to look at on the outside. But once inside, you simply pull up a chair , place your order, and find the nearest television with your game on the broadcast.

The menu and drinks are reasonably priced, and the service is commendable.  Unlike the typical “one party per table”, the bar has 8 seats per two table grouping. If you cannot find an open grouping, the Alaska tradition is to pull up a seat with another group, and of course offer to fill their glasses.

This had been one of my favorite hangouts. The beers were cold, they had Rolling Rock (a rare find from Pennsylvania), the food was tasty and reasonably priced, and the service came with a smile. But football season ended, and a new entrant to the Sports world arrived. You can find Eddie’s at:

6300 Old Seward Hwy
Anchorage, AK 99518

They offer a great time at a great place. It’s up to you to find it.
