9- Firetap

The Firetap is a bar with a great deal of Alaska “history” attached to it.  It’s a robust menu establishment which caters to a diverse clientelle.  The entire “sports bar” mentality is still being refined here in Alaska.  Considering there are no professional sports teams in the state, the options to enjoy sports on NFL Sunday or during the NBA playoffs can leave residents asking “Where should we go?”.  Choosing the Firetap Alehouse restaurant is always a good idea.

They are NOT a bar serving food, but rather a fine restaurant offering sports on televisions placed strategically around the restaurant.

Pizza? Graci!

The cuisine is all over the map, but you can assure yourself of safe dining if you order one of their 30 pizza alternatives, or simply create your own with options of sauces and toppings.  They have appetizers, calzones, soupls/chile, salads, sandwiches, wraps and a list of Firetap Specialties. Bringing that special someone? Save room for one of their delectable desserts. You can find them at

10950 O’Malley Centre Dr Anchorage, AK 99515

I’d point you to some menu specialties, but I have found plenty of great dishes all over that huge menu. Be adventurous. Share with the group. You are bound to find something memorable, and then you can try other dishes the next time out.
