Grading every Sixers player at the All-Star break
The Philadelphia 76ers are 30-25 at the break. How has each individual player fared?
By most standards, the Philadelphia 76ers have exceeded (reasonable) expectations this season. Despite being one of the league’s younger teams, they’re just two games out of fourth place in the Eastern Conference. They also have the NBA’s easiest remaining schedule, which should give them a boost moving forward.
Despite some slumps and blown leads, this season has been overwhelmingly positive for Sixer fans. Joel Embiid made his All-Star debut, Ben Simmons should have joined him, and Dario Saric continues to up his game despite a reduced role. J.J. Redick is earning his money too, averaging 16.9 points per game. That’s the second-highest mark on the roster.
The Sixers have also become a legitimate player in the buyout market, recently adding Marco Belinelli after his departure from Atlanta. The fact that players want to play in Philly is an indication of their recent growth and improved long-term outlook.
As we gear up for the final 27 games of the season, let’s dive into each individual player on the Sixers’ roster, analyzing their production thus far and grading their impact. For our purposes, we’ll exclude the two-way players (James Young and Demetrius Jackson).
