Tough decisions ahead

But the tough decisions are looming around the corner. The off-season for the Philadelphia 76ers looms as a tough time for roster decisions.  We know that these players have expiring contracts:

Player                          Position                        2017-2018 Salary

J.J. Redick                    Shooting Guard           $23,000,000
Amir Johnson            Power Forward            $11,000,000
Trevor Booker           Power Forward            $   9,125,000
Marco Belinelli          Shooting Guard            $      776,217

(Belinelli’s salary was mentioned on Twitter)

The hope is that both Redick and Belinelli shine in the NBA playoffs with the Sixers. And right now, both Redick and Belinelli are significant offense to the team.

Belinelli, at one game, is 17 points per game. Redick, at 44 games, is 16.9 points per game. While the Philadelphia 76ers are ninth in the NBA for scoring at 107.5 points per game, the team does benefit from their faster than normal pace.

Bottom line? Losing either or both will have a huge impact on points scored next season
