Coming back means competing for competition.

Furkan Korkmaz’s injury could not have been more poorly timed. After he was injured, the team suffered another blow with a leg injury to starter J.J. Redick. That forced the team to scramble with working either Jerryd Bayless or Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot earning starts and significant minutes.

And as far as how is he doing? Well, social media usually provides a direct link to the best updates.

When will Korkmaz return?

The player himself updated everyone as of late February.  And that update was well received.

He’s running on a treadmill and getting strength and flexibility restored. But he’s still weeks away from participating in basketball activities. And from there, even further from actual competition.
