Trevon Bluiett, SG, Xavier
The Indianapolis native has been a consistent scorer for Xavier all throughout his four-year career, but his game seems ready to make the jump to the NBA.
Bluiett is the catalyst for this group of Musketeers that has the highest seed in the tournament in program history.
The senior guard is averaging 19.5 points per game on 42 percent shooting from 3-point range.
Blueitt is streaky at times and some games disappears on offense if his shots aren’t falling. But if he’s on, defenses have trouble staying with him around screens and he often gets lost on the perimeter.
Many experts are calling Xavier a weak one seed and could be gone by the second weekend. But Bluiett is the one player capable of carrying the Musketeers all the way to the Elite 8 and to the Final Four.
There are several good team in this region and Xavier has proven throughout the regular season that they can score with the best teams in the country.
Finally, we’ll wrap up with a player not many scouts are talking about, but is quietly leading his team to another outstanding season.
