Mikal Bridges, SG/SF, Villanova

One of the reasons Jay Wright continues to dominate college basketball is his ability to develop role players into superstars throughout their time at Villanova.

That’s exactly what has happened with Mikal Bridges this season.

The junior forward has emerged as one of the best forwards in all of college basketball this season and has the Wildcats in prime position to make another run at the Final Four.

Bridges is a two-way small forward that is likely going to be taken in the lottery this season that has taken major strides on the offensive end.

He’s become a good 3-point shooter but also has the ability to beat his man off the dribble and get to the rim.

Bridges has been mocked to the Sixers in several mock drafts over the last few months and would be a great fit off the bench for this team.

The Pennsylvania native is averaging over 18 points per game while shooting over 50 percent from the field and over 43 percent from 3-point range.

While Jalen Brunson is the Villanova player most talked about, it’s going to be Bridges that carries this team to the Final Four and potentially another trip to the National Championship.

Now let’s get into a freshman on a lower seeded team that many people think could carry to multiple wins.
