The Knicks get the chance to add some much-needed perimeter depth alongside Kristaps Porzingis. Bridges has seperated himself as the best 3-and-D guy in this class, adjusting well to an increased role with Villanova while continuing to shine on the defensive end.

Bridges was mostly a stationary, spot-up threat in his first handful of seasons, but has expanded his game significantly in his junior year. He’s hitting shots on the move, putting the ball on the floor, and functioning as an elite second option next to Jalen Brunson.

Defensively, the Knicks don’t have much consistency. Porzingis is an apt rim protector and Frank Ntilikina has clear potential long term, but adding a two-way wing of Bridges ilk could work wonders on that side of the ball.
