The Hornets are at an odd point in their rebuild that isn’t really a rebuild. We’ll see if they stick with Kemba Walker through the offseason, because their plans could change if Walker is on his way out.
For now, we’ll give them Knox, who has shown plenty of promise in his one season with Kentucky. The 19-year-old has struggled with isolation scoring, but is shooting 35.4 percent from deep and producing off the ball. If you buy the shot (and, at 19, most teams will), he’ll likely stick in the lottery.
At 6-9 with solid length, Knox also projects well on the defensive end. Teams are always looking for versatile defenders, and he’s big enough to check some fours and quick enough to move his feet on the perimeter.
