Bridges is one of Philadelphia’s best fits on paper. He didn’t make all the improvements scouts wanted in year two, but his passing is better and he’s starting to show more variety off the bounce. He’s also an elite athlete capable of knocking down perimeter shots, which the Sixers need in their rotation.

At 6-6, Bridges’ best fit is at the four. His lack of size and length could hurt him in some matchups, but he’s quick enough to guard threes if needed and has the kind of strength and athleticism needed to thrive as a versatile, switch-friendly defensive cog.

Offensively, he should have no issues working off of Simmons and Embiid. He’s capable of stepping in and taking backup power forward minutes behind Dario Saric, especially if Ersan Ilyasova goes elsewhere in free agency.
