Thomas is probably an off-guard at the next level, which leads some to question his 6-3 frame. When you factor in his long arms and aggression on the defensive end, though, it tends to become a non-issue.
As things currently stand, Thomas is among the best perimeter defenders in college basketball. He’s also a 41.9 percent three-point shooter and capable passer, consistently making the right plays on the offensive end. He’s the two-way comboguard that every team wants nowadays.
While his ceiling might not be as high as other players at his position, Thomas is capable of providing value on both sides of the ball from day one. The Timberwolves, a playoff team that is moderately thin outside the starting rotation, could use a boost on the wing.
