Holiday has filled the shoes of Lonzo Ball and Bryce Alford at UCLA surprsingly well, emerging as one of the best point guards in college basketball. The youngest of the Holiday brothers, his perimeter shooting and pull-up ability should allow him to carry a legitimate role off the bench from day one. He’s also averaging 5.8 assists per game.

The Bulls have their guards of the future in Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine, but another backup option could be valuable. Cam Payne doesn’t look the part of an NBA player, while Holiday — at least long term — might be an upgrade over Jerian Grant, whose future is unclear.

Holiday is a pesky defender, although there are questions about how that will translate to the next level. His aggressiveness, at the very least, should make him passable on that side of the ball.
